The best place for intimate celebrations.
A few months ago, Elsa and I set out to find the best place for Gabrielle and Mark to celebrate their wedding. They wanted to celebrate their union with their closest friends and family on the beautiful beaches of Los Cabos, Mexico in a private way.
Their reserved personality, combined with their taste for nature, motivated them to choose a place away from tourist spots. Most importantly, Gabrielle & Mark were looking for a resort that offered enough lodging for their guests as well as enough space to create the perfect atmosphere for their wedding, the right setting to create a unique and unforgettable experience.

We found it! – A paradise located thirty minutes from Los Cabos: Villa Santa Cruz, a hotel boutique located in front of the Pacific Ocean in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico. A complex with fifteen colonial-style rooms; surrounded by nature in all its colors, the perfect place to make their dream wedding come true. It was an organic and stylish celebration, intimate and with a different and unique atmosphere at each of the stages of the celebration.

After telling the story that surrounds them, which is the main reason and inspiration, we got to work with the whole team to put together this editorial-style session. In the next part of this reading, I will tell you all about the conceptualization work to design an organic style wedding and to create the perfect look & feel in a paradise surrounded by nature.
INSPIRATION TO DESIGN A WEDDING IN TODOS SANTOS.

The first thing I did was to connect with the colonial-style architectural space and get inspired by all the elements that surround it: the beach, the cactus, the bushes, the palm trees, the color palette, full of different shades of green, yellow, orange, blue, and all those organic textures that nature offers us and that make Villa Santa Cruz a magical place for the wedding.
ORGANIC AND CONTEMPORARY MEXICAN STYLE WEDDING: LOOK & FEEL.
Sometimes, some places don’t need to design spectacular productions, which is Villa Santa Cruz’s case. For this editorial, I decided to make it an organic style production and set up; where the color palette and the decoration are the complements of the spaces without stealing or being the protagonists, at the same time they are elements that enrich and create homogeneous atmospheres with color accents.

CEREMONY | ELOPEMENT IN TODOS SANTOS
However, all the moments that happen in a wedding are special, but the ceremony is the moment in which the bride and groom make their union, to represent that moment in the editorial, I used a neutral color palette and a minimalist style montage that was not intrusive with the space, just to respect its magic.

RECEPTION | ELOPEMENT IN TODOS SANTOS
At this moment I wanted to represent the style of a Mexican wedding in a contemporary way. I used a warm color palette creating a perfect combination with the postcard we had behind us, the main building of Villa Santa Cruz, and perfect harmony with the whole space.
In conclusion, I am very grateful to the team that was behind all the production to make this editorial a reality. I hope you like it as much as I do. By the way, we are still planning the wedding of Gabrielle and Marcos, but that’s another story I hope to tell you soon. Your close friend, Lola.
